The title resonates well with the story: Pallavi Pradhan on ‘Woh Toh Hai Albelaa’

Pallavi Pradhan is portraying the strong-headed, dominating Saroj Chaudhary in Rajan Shahi’s new venture “Woh Toh Hai Albelaa”. The actress says the name of the show reminded her of the song “Woh toh hai albelaa, hazaaron mein akela”, and said, “I felt that the title is very apt.”

She added, “These days you will find shows with such beautiful titles, but the story is very different, however, in our show the title resonates well with the story of an albela boy from Agra and about his priorities in life which changes due to some circumstances.”

Speaking of her character, she said it is quite different from the roles that she has played before, and added, “She is a good wife, a good daughter-in-law and a good mother, but an insulting and humiliating incident that happened in the past has made her bitter towards the Sharmas and that has affected the friendship between two families.”

Pallavi further said, “This is not a villainous character, but because of her the story will go through a lot of ups and downs. My look is very rich and elegant and I am loving it.”

However, she mentioned that she is nothing like Saroj in real life. She said, “I don’t relate to Saroj at all. I don’t get angry easily and I don’t take things to heart, and even if I feel bad about something I try to give the benefit of the doubt to the other person. I am a very calm and loving person.”

Asked what attracted her to the character, she said, “First of all, the chance of working with Rajan Shahi and his production house Director’s Kut Productions. They have made such beautiful shows in the past. And second, when they told me the story, I just couldn’t say no.”

“It’s such a different story and the character is also very different from what I have done before. It’s a very strong and powerful character and all these things together attracted me to it,” Pallavi concluded.
