This week, we saw the wedding festivities of Shaurya and Anokhi’s wedding continue. Anokhi comes to know that her exam has been preponed to the same day as her wedding. She tells Shaurya about it as “pheras” are about to happen and he tells her to go and write exam despite Tej and Devi’s objection. Anokhi writes her exam. Rama and Ramesh thank Shaurya for his support to Anokhi. Tej says if “mahurat” passes, then the wedding cannot happen and will have to be postponed. Ahir tells that there has been an accident on the road to SIIC and the alternate route will take another fifteen minutes.
By the time Anokhi finishes her exam it is already 2:30 and “mahurat” is for another 10 minutes. Anokhi is worried just as she sees Shaurya and the whole family there. Shaurya has set up the mandap in the college campus. Wedding gets over without any more hiccups.
Devi tells Tej that she was happy to be rid of Astha but now Anokhi is another one of Astha’s type. Tej says it is not so easy to be a Sabherwal daughter in law. Shaurya and Anokhi go to touch Astha’s feet. She tells them to touch Tej and Devi’s feet first. Ramesh and Rama have arranged for the food. Everyone has food, but Tej and Devi want to leave without having food. Devi says they are going home because oily food does not suit them, as the caterer is not their usual one. Anokhi brings a platter with tea and biscuits from canteen for Tej and Devi. They finally relent and agree to have tea and biscuits. There is confusion where Shaurya and Anokhi should go for “griha pravesh”, to Shaberwal house or Shaan’s flat. Rama tells Anokhi that she is the “bahu”, so she should not compare herself with Shaurya’s place in that house as he is the son. Babli supports Anokhi and says she they should let Anokhi be. Anokhi promises that she will never speak unnecessarily but if there is a need, she will definitely speak up. Anokhi’s “vidaai” starts. Devi thinks Anokhi will have to weep her whole life now. Rama asks Anokhi to do the rice-throwing ritual, but Anokhi says she does not want to do so. Anokhi says that no daughter can ever repay her parents’ debt. She finally does it after Ramesh and Rama plead with her.
Tej says they must go to Sabherwal’s house for “griha pravesh” and both mothers will do so together. Shaurya and Anokhi reach Sabherwal house. Devi takes the “aarti ki thali” from Gayatri and is about to start. Anokhi asks Astha to start this ritual as they want blessings of both mothers. Astha takes the “thali” from Devi and does the “Griha Pravesh”. Astha tells Anokhi to call her “Ma” and not Astha ma’am anymore. Anokhi does “pooja” their at home temple. Mrs Luthra who is with Anokhi says she has never seen such a hasty wedding. Mrs. Luthra tells Anokhi that she has married into the wrong family and they will not let her live as she pleases. Anokhi says that she will not listen to anything against her family, even if they are relatives. She defends Devi and Tej in front of them and says they have a big heart. Mrs. Luthra feels insulted by Anokhi.
Devi scolds Anokhi for misbehaving with the guests. Anokhi tries to explain that they were saying Shaurya and she got married only because she was pregnant. Devi says so what, anyone would think the same way because of the haste in which the wedding happened. Tej tells Anokhi that even though she is educated, she cannot talk back to anyone and everyone. Anokhi says at times it necessary to answer back. Everyone gets ready in black for reception. Alok and Shagun plan to spoil Shaurya and Anokhi’s wedding night. Anokhi’s parents come to the reception. Devi sends Anokhi to meet other people. Ramesh complements Tej and Devi for the arrangements, so Tej says at least one function should be of their standard. Ramesh and Rama feel embarassed.A guest asks Anokhi what her plans were for her studies after marriage, but Devi says there is no planning as now Anokhi is no more a student but Sabherwal bahu and that is the biggest degree. Anokhi is shocked to hear this.
Ramesh and Rama bid goodbye to Devi and Tej after the function. Babli stays back in Chandigarh. Alok and Shagun bring drinks for them. Shagun gives Anokhi spiked drink, but Shaurya says they must drink from the same glass. Shagun tried to stop him but he doesn’t listen. Shaurya is about to drink, but Shagun breaks the glass. Shaurya asks what happened, so Alok says there was a mosquito in the glass. Anokhi thanks Shagun for that. Shaan stops Astha from going that night. Astha comes back and says she will go back the next morning as it is Anokhi’s first “rasoi”. Alok says he has a plan B even if the first plan failed. As Shaurya and Anokhi enter their room, the whole family is in their room. Shagun is lying on their bed. Alok says she passed out after drinking something in the party. He says they will have to let her sleep there.
