At the beginning of the episode, Thapki is about to go into the room of Thapki but Purab stops her. He asks her what is she doing? She says that she is going to serve her tea because she wants to make her happy. Purab says that she can’t go inside because Veena will get angry after seeing her. Veena comes outside and tells Purab that she told him that if Thapki is living here then she couldn’t come in front of her eyes. Amma tells Veena that whatever she is saying is not possible. She says that they are living in the same house and she has to face her every day.
Armaan’s mother talks about the Diwali party. Veena says that she won’t want to celebrate. Later, She gets convinced when Amma insists on her celebrating. Thapki listens to Vinod talking to Amma that no one is ready to come for doing decorations. Thapki says that she will do the decorations. She asks Amma to not worry about anything. Thapki does all the decorations. Purab is standing beside him. Her leg got slipped and Purab holds her. He says that she is doing everything which he doesn’t like.
He says Doesn’t she know about his Diwali schedule. Priyanka calls Thapki from an unknown number and asks her to invite Purab’s friends. Thapki does the same. Priyanka says that this time it will be double-blast as Purab don’t like Diwali and Veena’s guest will get to know about Thapki. Thapki tells Amma that she has done all the preparations. She asks her why Purab doesn’t like Diwali. She is about to tell her but Armaan’s mother stopped her. She asks her to serve the food to Purab. Thapki goes to Purab and he tells her that why she is doing all this.
He says that he hates Diwali. Thapki asks him why? He says that he used to live in a hostel. His other friends usually go home during Diwali but his mom is always busy at a concert or party and never thinks about him. He says that he always used to stay alone during that time. Priyanka tells Purab that all his friends are waiting downstairs for him at the party. Purab comes to the party and gets to know that Thapki has invited his friends. His friends ask Thapki to come. They ask Purab to dance with Thapki.
