At the beginning of the episode, Ishwari tells Mamiji that she cannot believe Soha’s behavior and how Sonakshi handled it. Ishwari calls Pandit and asks him tomorrow for Ayush’s name-changing ceremony. The next day, Ishwari waits for Dev and Sonakshi to leave so that the pandit could come.
Mamaji tells Ishwari to not rename Ayush without telling Sonakshi and Dev. Ishwari says that this is necessary to do as Ayush is still connected to Rohit’s parents and is not able to become a member of the family because of the name. Ishwari says she knows what’s best for her grandson and she doesn’t need anyone’s permission.
Ishwari goes to bring Ayush down from his room for the ritual. She tells Ayush that she has kept a ceremony for him to change his name. He tells her that Sonakshi promised him that his name won’t change. She tells Ayush that his grandfather asked him to listen to her. Ayush changes his clothes and comes and sits at the ceremony. Sonakshi is about to return to the house to pick a file when she gets a call from Bijoy asking her to pick him up and take him to the doctor. Dev gets him admitted to the school.
Ishwari calls Dev and tells him that she has changed Ayush’s name to Ved. Dev tells her she shouldn’t have done this as Ayush was already upset because of the name change. Ishwari tells Dev that he needs to tell Sonakshi as she is his wife. Elina tries to find her earrings, and she tells herself she gets the intuition that somebody was in her room.
Sonakshi comes to the tea stall and asks Dev how he managed to secure time for them. She tells Dev that they have so many memories connected to the tea stall. Dev tells her there is no right way of telling her what he is going to do, he says Ishwari changed Ayush’s name to Ved. Sonakshi remains stunned. Sonakshi says without their permission, she asks Dev if he knew before. Sonakshi says Ishwari did the wrong thing, Dev says now she should accept the fact. Sonakshi tells Dev that she cannot go back to the house as he cannot face Ayush.
Upcoming- Dev tells Ayush that he and Sonakshi will continue to call him Ayush. Sonakshi tells Bijoy that she cannot face Ayush. Dev calls Bijoy’s phone and tells Sonakshi that the kids need her, Shubh calls her through the phone.
