At the beginning of the episode, Purab gets amazed after seeing Thapki. Thapki asks him what happened? He says that she always stammers when she talks to him, then how could she speak so smoothly in front of Veena. He says that when Veena gets to know that she stammers she will get so angry. Thapki tells him that everyone in his family knows about her truth and they accepted her the way she is. Purab says that she has a misunderstanding because Veena hates those people who stammer.
He tells her that if she goes downstairs and speaks anything in front of everyone then Veena gets embarrassed and she will get angry. He says that now he is locking her in this room for her own good. He locked Thapki in the room and goes away. Veena is talking to guests and Media. Armaan’s mother sees her and tells Priyanka that it will be so fun to see Veena’s reaction when she gets to know that Thapki stammers. She asks Priyanka to bring Thaoki downstairs. Priyanka refuses to go then Armaan’s mother herself goes upstairs to bring Thapki. When Purab sees Thapki he thinks to himself that who brings her down.
Veena welcomes Thapki and tells Everyone that now she will sing a song for everyone and proves that she is the best choice of hers. Armaan’s mother asks Thapki to say a few words about their family. Purab goes and off the Mike. When Thapki speaks only Veena got to listen to her. She gets to know that Thapki stammers. She made her eat laddoo and not let her speak in front of anyone. Then she acts like she is feeling unconscious and get fainted. Everyone take Veena inside.
Thapki goes into the kitchen to make kahda for her. Veena tells Purab and her husband that Thapki has betrayed her by not telling her the truth. Purab says that Thapki thinks that everyone knows that she stammers. Purab tells her that he already knew about it. Veena ask him then why he didn’t tell her anything. Purab says that he tried so much but she didn’t listen to him. He says that everyone has some imperfections it’s just that Thapki’s imperfection can be seen by everyone. He says the problem is that Thaoki is so different from him and he can’t love her. Veena says it’s okay. She says that she also doesn’t want Thapki to be her daughter-in-law.
